Journey With My Buddy

Saturday March 9, 2012 started at 7am. The goal of the day was to attend The High Desert Bloggers event "Make Your Blogging Goals Happen." Now, I knew the day was going to be long, and I would need help. So, I enlisted my cousin who we will just refer to as, "My buddy." I didn't tell my buddy beforehand that I would need his assistance for the day, it more of surprise, which is just like life.

So I stood in the hallway by his door then proceed to say, "Buddy, buddy, buddy." I got no answer, but that is fine. In life sometimes you just can't take no for answer. So, I went in to his room. He was awake but pretending to be sleep under his cover lying on his bed. So, I went over to his bed and jokingly shook the shoulders of my buddy. He still pretended to be sleep. I said, “Buddy you are going to act like that? I need your assistance.” My buddy replied, “I am sleep.” So I left him alone. A few minutes later the door open with a gust of air behind it, and from my bedroom open door I saw my buddy streak pass me with clothes on (I know what some of you where thinking.) My buddy proceeded through the hallway down the staircase and out of sight. I yelled just as he got out of my sight, "You could have made some money today."

I knew my buddy would be back upstairs in a few and we would have a talk about this little event in not wanting to assist me. Buddy came back upstairs and we had a little talk. So, after a few words of how it would be a good idea, I thought we were family, and sliding some money I had assistant for the day, "My buddy."

So after two hours of straighten my hair, finding the right outfit, and buddy getting ready himself we were off to The Home Depot. Yes, we had a delay my grandpa needed a fixture for the toilet and I had to get it. You can’t tell papa no.

So, an hour to Home Depot and the Dollar Store (I had to fix my hair malfunction.) We got back to the house at 1:15pm. I had my buddy dropped off the stuff to grandpa while I fixed on my hair a little bit. Now we were in route to The High Desert Blogger event “Make Your Blogging Goals Happen.”  To be continued...

Check out my next blog about attending the High Desert Bloggers event "Make Your Blogging Goals Happen."  F.Y.I The High Desert Bloggers will be having a event on March 23, 2013 at Panera Bread in Hesperia, Ca at ten a.m. See you there.

Grey Voltage

Hello everyone!

Thanks for coming to the blog for the book Grey Voltage. You ask, “What is Grey Voltage? What is the book about?” I would say in a bad British accent, “Great question, witty reader.”

Grey Voltage is the story about two girls Sarah and Jasmine. Sarah returns Jasmine’s lost sister, Joanne, and now all she has is nightmares. Sarah has to figure out these nightmares before she is killed in her sleep. That’s the entirety of the story in short form with a few more twists and turns left out. The book would be like teenage adult thriller meets the faith you have in the power of God or for movie buffs; Fried Green Tomatoes meets Nightmare on Elms Street without the blood. Personally blood makes me nervous, but anyway I am going on and on.

My friend Angie is a sponsor for the group The High Desert Bloggers.  The group is hosting an event March 9, 2013, which would be a great help for my blog and book. The High Desert Bloggers will be hosting a get together to help you focus on achieving personal goals for your blog. The blogging event will be March 9, 2013 at the Starbucks in Apple Valley, CA off highway 18. Check out The High Desert Bloggers events at http://www.meetup.com/High-Desert-Bloggers.

So, now I have a location for the book reading, but I need to find an amazing female reader who can do character voices who can astonish a crowd for an hour in a half and finish the book. This can be done because God can move mountains goodnight and write soon. Contact me anytime at greyvoltage@gmail.com. Bye.
